This thing is great. OK it is a little bit awkward to use. Especially if your used to using the battery operated Nose hair clippers. I am not comparing the two because this review is not about Apples to Oranges. I gave this five stars because it works as said. I used it last night and it did a great job. It was so smooth cutting that I was not sure if it actually was. The battery operated ones you can hear and feel it cut but this is quiet and smooth. I did my Ears and Nose and did not feel anything. When I was done the results were 100%. NO BLEEDIND OR PULLING! I bought this one for a little more money because I believe this is the original and because it is made in Germany. German Knifes are the best and I wanted quality. I am glad I paid the extra money. I am always replacing my battery operated one because they break and then I can't find a battery etc. So yes I have my battery operated one and now I have this one. I do think that this Dovo will out last many battery operated ones.I've had a couple of the cheap battery-powered trimmers and found them quite frustrating. I felt like there was more yanking than cutting. My selection of this product was based on the fact that it was the most expensive (hoping that this was a proxy for quality) and I'm pleased with the result. My first use was almost a disappointment because I thought nothing was happening (I couldn't FEEL anything!), but then I realized that the coarse hairs had been trimmed without any pain. It is, of course, more difficult to use than the power tools (two-handed, and manual dexterity is not my strong point), but the process was less painful and the result was good, which is what I wanted. I just hope (and expect) that it lasts for years and that I don't have to revisit this purchase in my lifetime (two or three decades).I used a small trim scissors but it was difficult getting to some areas without sticking, pinching or cutting myself. I then got a small battery operated job that did get to those areas but pulled on or did not cut all the hairs. Then I got this Dovo trimmer. It not only gets to those hard-to-get areas but cleanly cuts the hairs without any pulling or pinching. The only reason I did not get this unit sooner is because I thought the price was a little high for what seemed to be such a simple tool. I'm now convinced the price reflects the precision of the machining to produce this clean cutting, non-irritating trimmer. This is not some cheap stamped piece of metal. It appears to have been machined from a solid piece of steel. I believe this will be the last nose and ear hair trimmer I'll ever have to purchase.I love Dovo products, they get the job don and are light on maintenance.I don't think this needs much of an explanation more than they do their job well (almost no pulling of of hairs) and they are light on maintenance, which is perfect. If these hold up like my clippers (7+ years and not a hitch), then I'm going to enjoy these trouble free for a while.++ Construction+ Ease of use+ Easy to clean-Nothings perfect (pulls a hair every once in a long, long while)This product works, but is a little painful, especially the first time you use it. That said, it's solid, simple, and probably disaster-proof. I was tired of going through the cheap-o electric nose-hair trimmers, and after a little adjustment period this one did the trick with nary a grimace.I've had *dozens* of nose hair trimmers. My nose is VERY sensitive, and gets itchy. I have a deviated septum. Yeah this is gross, but this is a REAL review. The electronic trimmers I've used *ALL* broke before they should have. This Dovo trimmer is expensive, but it's more ECONOMICAL than buying a new electronic trimmer every year. Oh, and I had a cheaper manual trimmer. I lost it, otherwise I'd still have it. See, it worked, just not well. But this trimmer is WAY ahead of the cheaper one I had. This one cuts! It works and works WELL. Every now and then a bit of a pull, but just keep twisting and it cuts, no big deal. BUY!Wish I had found this precision, beautifully machined tool years ago. I previously used the battery powered devices that tended to pinch and pull while clipping. This small, manually operated, high precision tool trims effortlessly. You just hold and guide with one hand and use your other hand to rotate the internal shaft by holding the opposite end and moving your thumb and finger gently back and forth. This works great in your nose and ears. Not for large expanses of trimming of the chest, legs and lawn mowing.This is an amazing nose trimmer, it took a bit of getting used to. I have always had the issue of my nose hairs being a bit to tough for normal electric trimmers and they ended up just pulling the hairs out which is super painful. This trimmer almost never pulls hairs out and is easy enough to clean.Of all the nose trimmers I tried, this is my go to trimmer. Electrical trimmers scares me off. This one is small enough to take on a trip.Great product. Great and durable design. Worth every penny.Let me start by saying that I LOVE mercur products. They are beautifully made in Germany and are the best quality throughout. I don't know if I got a rare dodgey one or whether this is just not up to Mercur's usual standards.but this feels like it pulls the nose hair out instead of cutting it. Great for ear hair ,though.Nachdem mir mein elektrischer Nasenhaarschneider runtergefallen ist und sich das Messer nicht mehr drehte stand ich vor der Qual der Wahl. Das Prinzip der Elektrogeräte hat mich nicht überzeugt, weil mir die Durchzugskraft der Motoren zu schwach ist und das Messer schnell ziept, sobald die Batterie nicht mehr 100% hat. Deshalb hatte ich mir zuletzt einen teuren 1,5V Aku mit 2000mA dafür gekauft. Das war eine spürbare Verbesserung.Vor der DOVO Klipette hatte ich mir ein preiswerteres Gerät eines anderen Anbieters hier angesehen und die Rezensionen gelesen. Dort wurde mehrmals von unsauberer Verarbeitung berichtet, was mich abgeschreckt hat. Die DOVO Klipette ist top verarbeitet. Das gibt es keinen unangenehmen Grat oder andere Nachlässigkeiten. Qualität hat hier offenbar einen Preis.Das Gerät ist etwas größer als mein kleiner Finger und hat ein angenehmes Gewicht und eine gute Haptik. Ich bin sofort gut damit zurecht gekommen und das Ergebnis hat mich überrascht. Die DOVO Klipette schneidet sauberer als mein elektrisches Gerät und ich bekomme es OHNE ziepen hin. Zum reinigen lege ich die DOVO Klipette ins Ultraschallbad und puste sie dann aus.Ich kann die DOVO Klipette sehr emfehlen.It’s manual and pulls hairsMänner ab 40 kennen das Problem. Haare sprießen auf einmal aus Nase und Ohren. Ist einfach Scheiße und sieht auch so aus. Jahrelang hab ich mich mehr schlecht als recht mit einer Schere abgemüht und ärgere mich, warum ich mir die Klipette nicht schon eher gekauft habe. Alles aus dem Hause DOVO ist handwerklich perfekt und einfach genial (s. DOVO Merkur Rasierer). Die Entfernung von Nasen und Ohrenhaaren geht mit dem Teil absolut einfach, schnell und irgendwie auch entspannend. Man hört sprichwörtlich den Erfolg wenn die Haare gekürzt werden. Ich bin absolut begeistert. Klarer Kauftipp.
