Dosent cut nose hair that goodIt works for what it's intended.Opened , installed batteries per. Directions ,slide the on switch up , didn’t work. Thought maybe it was the batteries so tried a few more sets of new batteries.On the 3rd set of batteries while tapping the clipper to get them out the clipper turned on.Loose wire or something.Seemed to work fine but have tapped it a few times to get it to turn on.Not worth the hassle of returning but will not buy again.I bought unbranded one previously but it died so this time I got a known company and it works fine. Late addition after using it less than a year it stopped working even when I tried a new battery. I accidentally popped the top off it and it started spinning , so I popped it back on now it works again. I never knew the top could come of. I had given up. Now I know a new trick to fix it.I've bought this product twice, now, and I'm about to buy it a third time.The first time I got one that worked great. Trimmed the hair fine, wasn't too loud, got the job done painlessly. Unfortunately, I lost it. So I bought another one.The second one was clearly louder. It also only lasted a few months before it started misbehaving. I had to whack it against things to get it to start. Then I had to take the battery cover off for it to work. Then ... it just stopped working.It seems strange to me that the ear/nose hair trimmer market is so saturated with mediocre products. I wish there was one that everyone seemed to like that just worked. I would have rated this five stars based on my first model, two based on the second. Will the third be the tiebreaker? I guess I'm forgiving about the quality control because it's so cheap, but even still ... we should be able to do better.My old Conair personal trimmer finally bit the big one, so I replaced it with this one. The new one is LOTS more powerful and is very sharp. My nose hairs don't stand a chance now. Highly recommended.I give this 4 stars as it is a very durable little unit. I do tend to prefer the elongated trimmers as this one is just too round for mylikes. Problem with the one I was buying Wahl just was breaking too fast . Anyone knowing of a longer type of head that doesnot break so easily , please inform me ha! Thanks much. :)This trimmer is perfect for the nose. Unlike most trimmers it doesn't have a thick protective barrier (supposedly for safety) that keeps you from trimming close to the skin. Therefore, you can cut the hairs shorter and it will be longer before you need another trim. It's also cheap!I've tried others and I just can't trim the hair close enough to the skin, so the hairs are still prominent when I'm done. And I don't need fancy features like a light to show the area better. I really like this simple effective type of trimmer. Yea!just what i was looking frArrived in time. Works well and actually trims nose hair. Wish it could trim a little closer though to avoid tweezers around the edges to avoid the ouch factor.My boyfriend loved it. Got rid of those pesky nose hairs!
